Fullmetal Alchemist Episode 06

Haha! Al's metal helmet can show crazy facial expressions to match Ed's. That's some good stuff. Looks absolutely ridiculous, but amusing nonetheless.
It's another flashback episode this time, so it makes me feel a little better about the whole thing. They gave a nice fleshed out backstory (which continues in the next episode) for Ed and Al, and how they came to be where they are now. This is a very feel good story, as there's no real adversary in this episode, we just get to see how good an alchemist Ed is.
This show's production values really are top notch, and it really is fun to watch. It's silly, touching, and genuinely put a smile on my face, and there's not really much better praise I could put on it.
More episodes like this one, and more series like this one, and I'm going to lose my prejudice against anime based on games. (Okay, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration.)
